The Adult Faith Formation programs at Christ the King - St. Stephen provide opportunities for you to grow deeper in your faith and build a community of peers.
Welcome to the Faith
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
Are you or anyone you know, curious about the process of becoming Catholic? During the Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA), adults learn about the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Faith. Interest is welcomed at any time, the process usually takes 6-7 months, and you will typically receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at Easter.
No qualifications are necessary other than sincere interest in a journey of faith. Any adult can participate whether they have:
- never been baptized
- been baptized in another Christian denomination but want to become Catholic
- baptized Catholic but never received the Sacrament of Confirmation
The OCIA process is adaptable depending on each individual’s needs.
Meeting: Wednesdays
Time & Location: 6:45 - 8:45pm in the Christ the King Ministry Center
