Bereavement & Grief Ministries
To Hear the Gospel and Make a Difference

Christ instructs His Followers to help the sick and grieving. Learn more about opportunities for you to safely care for community members who are currently suffering the despair of loss or illness.

Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry (in addition to diocesan Grief Ministry), reaches out with a phone call to a family member whose loved one had a funeral or memorial service at Christ the King or Queen of Heaven in recent weeks. We give the family member the opportunity to talk about their loved one, and if desired, receive another phone call from us.

Eucharistic Ministers for the Sick or Homebound

If you are looking for a rewarding ministry that gives back more than you give, this would be a wonderful choice for you. Our Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick and Homebound let people know that they have a friend who cares about them. Our ministers bring Communion once a week to one or more persons unable to leave their place of residence to attend Mass. They join in prayer, share of the word of God, receive Communion and spend some time in conversation. Training is provided.
