The Altar Society of Christ the King is a dedicated group of women who take care of things behind the scenes. They meet the firstSaturday most of the time, during the months of September through June to discuss and plan fundraising events that help support special projects throughout the Community of Christ the King. Some dates may change due to scheduling conflicts.
To be an active member, each member must try to be active participants in our Altar Society functions especially during our Holiday Boutique, our major fundraiser that will be around November by helping in selling raffle tickets after each mass and helping before, during and after the boutique.
Members also clean and maintain albs, altar cloths, towels, purificators and corporals. Members clean the Church on Fridays and participate in Church decorating during the holidays. They also help and support other groups around the parish. This is how the women of the Altar Society hear the Gospel and make a difference.
